The Learning Cycle Approach is an inquiry-based teaching model that assists our teachers in designing their classes to make them interactive and interesting. As against traditional teaching approaches wherein students receive instructions and information and know the outcome of an experiment before doing it, the learning cycle approach develops the thinking skills of students and allows them to discover solutions through conceptual application and logic. The learning cycle approach has been found to yield superior results among students and creates better classrooms as compared to the traditional teaching approach

Student Council
The AVM student council is a democratically elected body that aims to promote a positive and supportive environment for all students within the school.
Under the guidance of a teacher coordinator, the student council sets goals and objectives to achieve their mission. The council operates on a hierarchical structure where every member plays an integral role in the decision-making process.
Being a part of the student council provides an excellent opportunity for students to develop their leadership skills, hone their communication abilities, and contribute to the school community. At AVM, students are encouraged to nominate themselves for a post without any academic or other restrictions.
Sports
AVM has achieved several laurels in Sports over the years. Our teams take part in around 40 - 50 Inter-School tournaments every academic year. Inter-School competitions are conducted in the school in almost all games. In addition, an annual Sports Day is hosted at school which resembles a ‘Mini Olympics’.
AVM follows a unique sports program that sets two activities for Phase-I students per day and one sport activity for Phase 2 students per day.
An exceptionally large number of National Level Athletes thrive because the school is one of the few which considers sports as an integral part of the curriculum and class activities are managed so as to give athletes the opportunity to attend tournaments.
The program’s mandate is to enhance general health condition and basic physical fitness of every student, to contribute towards overall personality development, to develop life skills and to provide a platform for exposure and to help excel in each sport.
Visual Arts
Visual Arts are essential for children as they foster self-expression, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Through our program, students explore various mediums and develop their artistic voices, nurturing a lifelong appreciation for the arts and expanding their perspectives.
